Kate Hudson is an exploring mood with her “favorite humans” — AKA, her kids Ryder, 19, with ex Chris Robinson, Bingham, 12, with ex Matt Bellamy, and Rani, 4, with fiancé Danny Fujikawa. She recently shared more photos from their family vacation in Sicily, including the one genius mom hack she uses to sightsee in Italy with her preschooler.

“Happiness and pasta 🍝 Not mutually exclusive 🇮🇹❤️☀️🌙,” the Glass Onion star wrote on Instagram. “Exploring with my favorite humans ❤️.”

In the first photo, Hudson wears her long, curly hair down long as she smiles in front of a pretty building. Her lookalike daughter Rani waves to the camera from her mama’s back, where she is hanging out in a LILLEbaby carrier. Wait, what? Who knew you could carry your preschooler hands-free with an infant carrier? It’s such a good idea — you don’t have to lug around a heavy stroller or wagon, carry a heavy child, or worry about them running off as you walk through Europe. Not to mention, kids love piggy rides, so this was probably super fun for Rani, too.

The A Little White Lie star enjoys traveling with her kids, which you can see from other pictures in her carousel. There is one of Bingham standing on the side of the car with his bleached blonde hair on full display; one of Rani eating lunch on the beach; and several pictures of the food and architecture. It looks like so much fun!

While some people wrote some judgy comments — one person wrote, “A little old for carrying around. But she the baby.” — most people were surprisingly supportive of the carrier.

“Love how you are still carrying your children!” one person said. “I hope my almost 2 year old keeps letting me carry her this long! Keep it up momma!”

“Kangaroo Momma! 🥰 🥰 🥰” another joked. Someone else said, “I love that you are wearing her!! That’s awesome! 😍😍”

Another wrote, “Love how you still use the carrier! 😍😍”

“So cute 🥰– hope u have a great time!! ⭐️🦋💕” one person wrote.

In June 2022, Hudson took her then 3-year-old daughter to New York City. She shared a photo of one moment on Instagram, where Rani is dressed in a pink sparkly top over rainbow-colored leggings. She’s riding in a stroller and smiling, as her mom pushes her across the crosswalk. It’s a totally cute picture — and a necessary way to keep a young child safe while in a big city. Yet, some people didn’t like the fact that a 3-year-old was in a stroller (because they obviously have nothing better to do than judge other moms).

“That kid is way to old for a stroller!😳” one person wrote. Another said, “That kid can walk. Right? 🤪” I mean, so can I, but I still like sitting down sometimes!

After receiving a lot of hate, many people came to Hudson’s defense. “It is her daughter, she knows her better than anyone, so I’m sure she is more than capable of deciding when HER daughter no longer needs to be in a stroller,” one person said. “I have a 6 and 7 year old who get tired from some of the walks we do if we don’t use the car. If they fit, I would still use one also! love this photo❤️.”

Someone else commented, “She’s 3 years old, people! Would you want to carry a three year old around when they get tired? I keep a stroller for my 5 year old grandson, and you can put all your junk in there.”

It’s unclear if she posted the baby carrier picture to get back at the stroller haters, of its simply because wearing your preschooler makes it so much easier to keep track of them in a busy place. We’re betting it’s a little of both!

If you want to carry your toddler (or baby!) like Hudson, then you can buy the LÍLLÉbaby 3-in-1 Ergonomic CarryOn Airflow! It’s designed to hold kids from 25-60 pounds, so you can go stroller- and hands-free!

Target sells the LILLEbaby carrier too, which has six different ways to carry your little ones, from 7-45 pounds. It also comes in many different colors, so you can find one that fits your baby’s needs!
